The Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Government of Pakistan, seeks a qualified, energetic, experienced, and motivated professional for the position of Chairman, of Port Qasim Authority, Karachi, to implement the mandate outlined in the PQA Act, 1973.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree from HEC-recognized universities in Management, Administrative, Social, Natural Sciences, Engineering, MBA, or MPA.
Work Experience:
- At least 20 years of post-qualification experience in executive positions in administration, management, or project development in reputable public or private organizations. Experience in port management is preferred.
Age Limit:
- Maximum age of 62 years as of the closing date for application submission.
Remuneration & Other Facilities:
- Equivalent to Management Pay Scale-1.
Duration of Contract:
- 3 years
Nationality:
- Pakistani
Job Description:
- The Chairman will perform duties and functions as assigned under the PQA Act, 1973.

Candidates meeting the qualification and experience requirements should submit their applications, along with attested copies of educational documents, experience certificates, CNIC, two recent passport-size photographs, and a detailed CV, to the undersigned within 15 days of this advertisement’s publication.
Applicants working in Government, semi-Government departments, or autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel. Government servants selected for this position will be required to seek premature retirement or resign from their current positions.
The eligibility of candidates will be assessed according to the provisions of the PQA Act, 1973, SOE Act, 2023, and Federal Government policies regarding the appointment of CE/Head of Organizations.
Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Incomplete applications, those missing required documents, or those received after the due date will not be considered. Candidates will not be entitled to TA/DA for attending interviews.
